The media attention for this Wednesday’s WeWontFly.com rally just keeps
growing! I just got word that Channel 29 is sending a camera crew to the
sign painting party tonight!
Let’s pack the place. It’s being held tonight (Sunday,
11/21), starting at 7 PM at the Baggataway Tavern, 31 N Front St, West
Conshohocken, PA 19428 (www.baggtav.com, 610-834-8085). We’ll be in the
upstairs room (accessible only from the stairs leading from the parking lot
out back).
Bring sign-making stuff, like paint, poster board, markers,
or whatever. Or just show up.
If you can’t make it to tonight’s sign painting, remember
the rally itself, one of 17 across the nation that are being held this
coming Wednesday, 11/24. For the Philly rally, we’re gathering at 6:30 PM
in the Riverbend Bar and Grille inside the Airport Marriott, accessible from
Terminal B. You can take SEPTA to get to the airport, and if you drive I
hear you can get reduced parking rates from the Marriott if you park in
Garage C, Level 2.
To summarize: it will an educational rally (not
confrontational) on the public sidewalk in front of the departure terminals
of Philly International Airport from 7 to 9 PM on Wednesday, 11-24, where
we’ll be handing out literature regarding the new porno scanners and
gropings.
FYI, I spoke with the Philadelphia police again on Thursday
to give them an update, and everything is still cool. They’ll have a few
officers from their Civil Affairs unit there in case the TSA tries to rear
their ugly head.
