Long-time libertarian activist David Nolan has passed away at 66. Mr. Nolan is said to be the originator of the World's Smallest Political Quiz. Nolan was part of the coalition, with Murray Rothbard and others, that led an insurrection against Ed Crane and Charles and David Koch for control of the Libertarian Party in the mid-80s. Many think that is when the growth of the LP was stunted for decades, as the people forced out went on to found, fund, and expand the CATO Institute, CEI, Americans for Prosperity and a myriad of other libertarian and tea party groups.
