Cthristie is right, and the judge was an idiot. Morley refused to let the jury consider the claim that Aitken was in the process of moving from one residence to another, an exception under which citizens can move firearms in their vehicles. Aitken’s attorney attempted to have the case dismissed on those grounds twice, but Morley refused to dismiss the case or allow the jury to hear the exemption once the trial was underway.
I know the arrest was last year, but the trial was this year, and even I knew this would get tossed - and I ain't no lawyer. Christie saved the state a bunch o' money on appeals. Sorry demos, this has nothing to do with the NRA. Find something else to froth about, this ain't it.
