Warning: Telling the truth in today's society can have it's consequences. Now it looks like you can be fired for telling the truth in a Facebook posting. MyFox8.com<http://www.myfox8.com/news/wgntv-man-fired-over-facebook-jan12,0,425669.story> reports: Glen Busch has been a director of the Chicago chapter of Coats for Kids since he and his wife began their charter in 2005. In that time, they have helped more than 2000 Chicago area kids get warm with donated winter gear. Today his work with the organization is no more. *Sunday the group's president severed ties with Busch over a series of posts he made on his personal facebook page about the deadly Arizona<http://www.myfox8.com/topic/us/arizona-PLGEO100101500000000.topic>shootings involving congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford. * Jumping into a thread with friends discussing the possible politics behind the attack, Busch wrote: *" This was not a political thing, it was a psychotic thing. This kid was nuts! Now lets drop the ink wars and pray for the families. Maybe apologize in public just like your accusations as well? I'm just saying."* When the shooter, Jared Loughner<http://www.myfox8.com/topic/crime-law-justice/crimes/criminals/jared-lee-loughner-PESPT004278.topic>, was identified Busch posted *"Now that we know that this kid was an extreme socialist and democrat, does that change some of the opinions? Guys look, this is not political, he's just crazy. I do not hold liberals responsible for this now that the facts are known."* But *his boss Paul Darby, the president of the national chapter of Coats for Kids, didn't like it*. Glen says he called the next day severing Glen's involvement in the organization saying *the posts were too radical and political*. "What did I say? I didn't support or defend anybody other than the victims and how is that against our policy," said Busch. *"We don't even have a policy.* I was just amazed." Mr. Darby and a lawyer issued a letter to Busch saying in part, "As a public non-profit foundation, it is essential that we not become involved in public controversy, either in support or in opposition of an issue or cause. *You have every right to make whatever comments that you wish as a citizen*. *We support that right as Americans*. Unfortunately, you name is clearly associated with the Coats for Kids Foundation and the activities by the Foundation in Chicago." Chicago? It figures.
