Brucie Girl- Wrong again. Many Americans did indeed watch the State of The Union Address. Those who did not watch were mostly the Reich wing "Tea Party" of No sheeple and the extremist LibbyLoons like yourself. They were likely watching re-runs of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" instead.
There is nothing wrong with reading a prepared speech. Both Bushes and senile President Reagan did so all the time. Reagan even had written prompt cue cards for his telephone conversations, as Ronnie Jr. attests in his book. "Small minds, petty thoughts".
