BB47, I absolutely agree with you. People that think that adding government jobs adds to the economy are just stupid. Every time a government employee is added to the rolls it nullifies the taxes of countless people. Say a government employee makes 100k per year.... it takes the combined tax payments of about 100 average joe citizens paying 10k each solely in federal withholding to support that job. There are over 3,000,000 Federal employees........ do the simple math.
If a federal job has to be eliminated.... then so be it... hell, get rid of 2/3 of them. They really don't DO or PRODUCE .....ANYTHING.
