First you have to figure out if the report went anywhere with the
Gorelick wall set up by the Reno/Clinton/Gorelick AG office. Did anyone
in control see the report. Did anyone in control have a chance to
correlate this report with anything that would find out if it was true
or not. What would you have them do. Institute TSA type security
checks then? You would have been the first to bitch about that and call
them Nazis even before you started calling them Nazis. What cities
would you have them check and how. Remember that NYC alone has over 4K
flights per day from the 3 major airports plus more from the minor ones
like Teterboro and McArthur fields and the one in Westchester County.
Add in the flights from all the other major cities and then tell me what
you would have done - in detail - and with no stupid remarks about how I
am homophobic or some other nonsense.
This is the same situation as with that stupid briefing paper you Dems
keep chattering about. There was absolutely nothing Bush could have
done that would not have had you up in arms before the 9/11 attack and
nothing meaningful he could have done with the sketchiness of the info
in the briefing. Also again the same problem with the Gorelick wall.
If you remember there was a lot of talk at the time about the Minnesota
FBI agent who reported to her boss that she had heard of potential
attacks but with the Gorelick wall the FBI could not discuss this with
the CIA or the NSA or the DIA or any other federal intel organization
and yet your crew was blathering all about this for months back then and
of course neither Gorelick or Reno or Clinton or any of the leaders of
the Clinton intel agencies admitted that this was the root of the
problems with the attacks at the US embassies, the original attack on
the World Trade Center or the attack on the USS Cole nor was there any
attempt to clear up the info by that admin either when these other
things happened. In fact Clinton did essentially nothing in response to
any of them and yet you wanted Bush to do something in response to even
less info and bring this up 10 years after the fact. Sheer idiocy.
