Sounds like Zero is trying to get Petraeus out of the way so he doesn't
run against Zero for prez.

Obama Is Expected to Name Leon E. Panetta Defense Secretary and David H.
Petraeus C.I.A. Director, Officials Say
President Obama is expected this week to name Leon Panetta,
the director of Central Intelligence, as defense secretary
and Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top American commander in
Afghanistan, as director of the C.I.A., administration
officials said Wednesday.
The current defense secretary, Robert M. Gates, is expected
to step down this summer.
