Posted this morning at Electric Politics, a podcast interview with
Steven Kleinman, a veteran military intelligence officer and one of
America's top interrogators, on the subject of torture and other
methods of interrogation.

It would be nice if the debate over whether to use torture -- or
"enhanced interrogation" -- could be framed in moral terms.
Manifestly, given events of the past decade, it can't. But Americans
have a tradition of being a practical people and seem to respond (if
grudgingly) to practical arguments: in this case, that torture simply
doesn't work.

It's a complicated subject. If you feel strongly about it, it's always
good to have the factual, logical arguments on your side for those
occasions when they might make a difference.
