Senate Rejects House Republican’s Bloated Budget

The Senate has rejected, by a vote of 57-40, the House Republican’s bloated budget. Unfortunately, they rejected it for the wrong reason (messing with Medicare), instead of because it has a built-in $1 trillion deficit.
Senator Rand Paul, one of five Republicans to vote against the bill, was probably the only member of the Senate to vote against the budget bill for the right reason. His father Ron Paul was one of only four Republicans in the House to vote against Paul Ryan’s bloated budget when it passed last month.
