Posted this morning at Electric Politics, a podcast interview with Dr. Mark A. Graber, author of Dred Scott and the Problem of Constitutional Evil (Cambridge, 2006). Mark points out that the U.S. Constitution forces us into some difficult choices. Do we acquiesce to evil in order to preserve the union? Can we persuade those determined to perpetrate evil to change their ways? Or is political coercion, outside the framework of the Constitution, a realistic option?
