Ray, This is too bad. Obviously, the cashier does not know how to distinguish between being a veteran and someone who has retired from active duty or reserve service. No one I know carries their discharge papers with them. Lowe's should have been more precise in their definition (i.e. retired military) or be willing to accept that a verbal affirmation of service is accepted.
