Moses the Jew ---- the mythical moses was a hebrew A jew was someone from the tribe of Judah. Moses was a Levite. Exodus 2 1 Now a man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman, 2 and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. The term jew as used in reference to a practitioner of judaism was not established until about a thousand years after Moses.
