I watched the debate, and I am familiar with contemporary history.

Dr. Paul is incorrect, we were not at war with Iran when we supported a coup
that installed the Shah of Iran in 1953. The region was unstable then, as
it is now, and for twenty-five years under the Shah there was stability in
Iran, with a semi-Western style society that was friendly to our
interests.

I think Rick Santorum, as stated in another post, is a typical big
government "Hamiltonian Federalist" parading as a Republican. The only
difference between him and a socialist Democrat, is that Santorum would push
his brand of moral compass on America under a federalist system, and Paul
exposed that during the debate.

It didn't make Dr. Paul any more correct with regard to history, or his
foreign policy.
