Carleton Cronin is an idiot. I have never, ever been "gentry", nor have I
ever been rich, or even upper middle class. I am a hard working individual
who basically lives from pay-check to pay-check.

I have been a registered Republican for over 35 years, (other than that
little mis-hap when I was getting ready to run for office, and the
Republicans kind of dumped me....I then joined the "Libertarian Party" and
learned the true definition of "Cluster-Fuck". but I digress).

Like Mark pointed out, all of my adult life, since I got out of the Army at
the age of 22, I have made something happen. I have been self supportive,
and since the age of 26, I have been self employed.

I think it was PlainOl' who a few months ago asked, "When was the last time
that you drew an unemployment check"? And my answer was, 1979, shortly
after I got out of the Army.

There's nothing at all wrong with drawing unemployment. There is nothing at
all wrong with a safety net in this Nation when something happens to a
family or the major bread winner. There is something wrong however, when an
individual or a family becomes dependent upon government, or handouts, or
has some expectation for support or sustenance, and then has the audacity
to demand to be supported.

There is no right to a job. There is no right to propping one's lazy ass up
on a sofa, eating McDonald's hamburgers, and awaiting your next government
welfare check. There is no right to one banging on a drum all day Studio!
