Again” Christian and as a liberal Democrat for nearly five decades. He is
once more blending those roles as he promotes “his” latest book, his own
study Bible.

During his book tour to promote a study of the Scriptures, Carter mentioned
he supports same-sex

President Carter told Paul Brandeis Raushenbush, senior religion editor of *The
Huffington Post*:
Homosexuality was well known in the ancient world, well before Christ was
born and Jesus never said a word about homosexuality. In all of his
teachings about multiple things – he never said that gay people should be
condemned. *I personally think it is very fine for gay people to be married

Yes, indeed. Sodomy was "well known in the ancient world." I'm sure Mr.
Carter would suggest that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for a reason
other than sodomy.

How like the followers of the evil one, to twist God's Words to suit their
purposes. What did Jesus say, in fact?
*Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male
and female,5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother,
and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?6 Wherefore
they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined
together, let not man put asunder.*
Matthew 19: 4-6
Where oh where does it say in there that a man shall cleave to another
man? Or a woman to another woman? It says a man shall cleave to his
wife. In the beginning God made Adam and Eve - not Adam and Tom, Dick and
Harry!

Occasionally a pastor's church bulletin contains an insert from American
Family Association, which lists
the horrible immoralities on TV with advice to boycott the advertisers. On
this same Sunday, the pastor
sermonizes about the evils of rock culture, pornography and sodomy; then he
urges his parishioners to buy
the NIV Bible. What folly! How absurd!
