It MUST be that time again as I received a plea for RNC Contributions disguised (poorly) as a request for 2012 Presidential Platform input.

How will multiple choice questions provide *anything* remotely beneficial? Of course the QUESTIONS themselves leave a great deal out of the equation.

After being praised and provided with an air of importance ...
"NOTICE: This DOCUMENT IS REGISTERED to the individual named below and must be accounted for during tabulation. If you choose not to participate in this official Presidential Platform Survey, sign and return this Document using the postage-paid envelope provided."
... I am prompted to provide demographic information -- age, employment, marital status, homeowner and education. And here I thought I was CHOSEN, but instead I was merely just another mail list entry.

What does *any* of this have to do with crafting a Presidential Platform? What does Obama's actions (which incidentally merely continue and expande Bush's policies) have to do with crafting a Presidential Platform? Will these guys sit around a smokey room laughing that MOST respondents are opposed to the very same fascist, unconstitutional policies when a Democrat is the face, but otherwise lap up those fascist, unconstitutional policies when a Republican is the face?

So Defending -- well, following/adhering to -- the Constitution is very important. Doesn't that necessarily INCLUDE reducing (gutting) federal spending, keeping taxes low (cutting/abolishing them), repealing PPACA (still think this would not have made the list were it McCainCare or BushCare ... Rs pushing this nonsense since the early 90s with Heritage), demanding free trade (what the hell is 'open'? -- and free trade is not supposed to be a label for fooling Boobus Americanus into thinking managed trade is somehow free trade) and EXCLUDE strenthening border security, expanding (government controlled) domestic oil exploration, stimulating (government controlled) job creation and reining in unions?

What makes Obama's 'radical left-wing' policies when they were called 'compassionate conservatism' when Bush was giving them to us?
Section II -- Economic Issues
3. President Obama has indicated that if reelected, he will fight to increase tax rates on individuals and families he considers to be "wealthy". Do you support Obama's position.
 o Yes  o No
4. Do you believe Congress should block President Obama's efforts to raise the federal debt ceiling for borrowing and demand real cuts in federal spending?
 o Yes  o No
5. Would you support another federal bailout of the automobile industry or large banks?
 o Yes  o No
6. Are you concerned about inflation undercutting your savings, devaluing your home and increasing your cost of living?
 o Yes  o No
7. Do you believe that the policies of Barack Obama have helped create good jobs and improved the economy in your area?
 o Yes  o No
8. Do you support a federal Balanced Budget Amendment to the US Constitution to stop deficit spending in Washington?
 o Yes  o No

Again, of what possible relevance is Obama to the Republicans crafting a Presidential Platform?

Let's see ... the last 3 Republican Presidents ... during Reagan the Nation's annual tax load INCREASED by 65% ... we read Bush I's lips and got an INCREASE ... and even Bush II with a Republican House and Senate temporarily cut taxes only to plan their INCREASE. Romney is already promising to RAISE taxes if elected. I don't understand the question.

Similarly, the debt ceiling has been raised over 100 times since it was put in to it place of meaningless. WHAT has *any* of the Seven Two Dwarfs proposed that would in any way move Congress AWAY from such a need? Hell, even the recently submitted (current) Republican House budget does NOTHING that would preclude more and more and more and more debt.

I opposed Bush II's bailout, Obama's bailout (any and all such unconstitutional efforts that might have occurred in the past). What guarantees will be had that the Rs will not again 'bail out' their favoreds?

Inflation has been undercutting savings, devaluing homes and increasing the cost of living for more than a century. Why now? Oh yeah, he who shall not be mentioned has catapulted it to the National level. Are you hoping it goes away?

Government policies (save repealing past efforts) can ONLY hinder private job creation. Does the RNC understand/grasp this reality?

Rather than forcing he government to plunder and spend obscene levels in a 'balanced' manner, I am more interested in an Amendment that would LIMIT how much tax could be extorted from Individuals; that would SUNSET every tax and program -- forcing EVERY Congress to vote on EVERY tax and program; or ABOLISHING the Sixteenth Amendment (and taxing Incomes) and replacing it with NOTHING.
Section III -- Entitlement Spending
9. Would you support a phased-in increase in retirement/eligibility age for Social Security benefits that would not affect anyone over the age of 50?
 o Yes  o No
10. Do you support reforming the way the government pays for Medicare for future retirees -- while preserving the existing program and options for those who utilize it?
 o Yes  o No
11. Should retirees be exempt from property tax increases on their residence?
 o Yes  o No
12. Would you support allowing individuals under the age of 50 to opt to put a portion of their Social Security withholdings into private accounts that they control, but cannot access without penalty until their retirement?
 o Yes  o No

In A Pledge to America, Republicans in Congress, September 2010, Congressional Republicans provided lipservice:
"We pledge to honor the Constitution as constructed by its framers and honor the original intent of those precepts that have been consistently ignored  particularly the Tenth Amendment, which grants that all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
Lipservice? Well, certainly, since they promptly VIOLATED the pledge.

If we are to ABOLISH the socialism known as "Obamacare" why the desire to 'fine tune' the socialism known as "Social Security'? If we are to ABOLISH the socialism known as "Obamacare" why the desire to 'fine tune' the socialism known as "Medicare'?

Why no meaningless yes/no questions on the myriad of OTHER transfer programs that fall under "Entitlement Spending" and are in violation of that Pledge to America AND the Constitution itself? Shouldn't we be working toward ABOLISHING those as well?
Section IV -- National Security Issues
13. Should the United States follow through on President Obama's decision to eliminate the military's "two war" strategy that gives us the ability to fight two separate conflicts if need be?
 o Yes  o No
14. Has the Obama Administration done enough to counter Iran's drive to acquire nuclear weapons?
 o Yes  o No
15. Should the United States demand that Pakistan reform its military and intelligence agencies in order to receive military aid funds?
 o Yes  o No
16. Do you want our elected leaders to make stopping illegal immigration a matter of national security?
 o Yes  o No
17. Do you believe Obama's strategy of treating all countries as equals to the United States has strengthened our security and weakened the resolve of our enemies?
 o Yes  o No
18. Do you agree that it is time to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan?
 o Yes  o No
19. Do you believe that the United States has done enough to ensure that Chinese markets are open and fair for imports to our nation?
 o Yes  o No
20. Is it time for the United States to start closing our military bases in Europe to save funds and force our allies to pay for their own defense?
 o Yes  o No
You want to eliminate/revive a 'strategy'? Huh? Much of the military is premised upon re-fighting World War I part 2 and is outmoded, outdated and wasteful. We should certainly GUT a great deal of the offensive (as opposed to defensive) spending -- pork and all. Since Iran has no drive to acquire nuclear weapons as our own intelligence AND the international nuclear groups have demonstrated, anything he has done in this regard is 'too much'. Why would the United States government send its Citizen's dollars to *any* country -- as aid or otherwise? What is illegal immigration AND how will the US Government succeed at stopping it any more than they have been able to keep cotraband out of its maximum security prisons? Sounds like a pork laden gravy train in the making. Wasn't it Jefferson et al who inscribed that All Men are created equal ... with an inherent right to life ... ??? It is well past time to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan ... also Vietnam, Korea, Germany, Japan, etc. Where is the Constitution (see that Pledge to America) empowering the President (or any other Federal personnel) to make markets 'open and fair' (whatever that means)? Yes, it is well past time to follow the Constitution (see that Pledge to America) and close these foreign military bases -- not only in Europe.

Section V -- Health Care Issues
21. Do you support immediate and total repeal of the ObamaCare health care legislation?
 o Yes  o No
22. Do you believe medical malpractice reform to stop frivolous lawsuits and ever-increasing insurance premiums should be a priority of healthcare reform legislation?
 o Yes  o No
23. Has the government and news media provided information to ensure that citizens have a good understanding of the composition, impact and costs of the Democrat-passed ObamaCare legislation?
 o Yes  o No
24. Are you concerned that Barack Obama and the Democrats intend for their ObamaCare legislation to eventually lead to the creation of "single-payer" government run health insurance and health care system?
 o Yes  o No
25. Do you believe you can receive the same quality of health care and accessibility to quality care through a federal government run health care system?
 o Yes  o No
Yes. We should ABOLISH Obamacare. We should also ABOLISH the unconstitutional socialism that is SCHIPA and Medicare Part D that Bush and the Republican Congress gave us. Additionally, we should extricate Government out of the health care business ENTIRELY -- including the FDA. We do not need 'reforms' of unconstitutional intervention into the marketplace (see that Pledge to America) we need extrication of these interventions. I am far more concerned that Republicans will continue to aid (or outright move the ball on their own) the Democrats in 'giving' Americans a single payer system. For all practical purposes, the Government ALREADY runs the system.
Section VI -- Values Isues
26. Do you support President Obama's unprecedented decision to ignore federal law and order his Justice Department to stop enforcing and defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA)?
 o Yes  o No
27. Do you support the US Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade to allow states to regulate/restrict abortion as they see fit?
 o Yes  o No
28. Do you believe life begins at conception?
 o Yes  o No
29. Should federal funds be provided to non-profit organizations whose primary function is conducting abortions?
 o Yes  o No
30. Do you support allowing parents to use government vouchers to send their children to the school of their choice be it public, parochial or private?
 o Yes  o No
Uhm, IGNORING federal law (and the Constitution itself) is not unprecedented. DOMA is unconstitutional (see that Pledge to America). I support following the Constitution. It is irrelevant when 'life begins'. An Individual has no right to the life of another Individual. Besides, Amendment XIII has outlawed slavery (accept of the duly convicted). Federal funds should not be provided to *any* for profit or non-profit regardless of whether they conduct abortions.

I vehemently oppose government vouchers AND the Marxist funding it represents. I thought Republicans OPPOSED socialism? OPPOSED unconstitutional forays which the Federal Government's nose in 'education' represents? I support ELIMINATING the Government's (all levels) role in education entirely. We should ABOLISH the Marxist funding method which forces EVERYONE to pay for those having children in the system.
Section VII -- The 2012 Campaign
31. Should the national Republican Party only support candidates who adhere to our conservative principles of low taxes, small government, strong values and unwavering defense of our Constitutional freedoms?
 o Yes  o No
32. Do you believe that the national Republican Party should stay out of primaries and allow Republican voters in local districts and states to make their own educated decisions about who should represent them?
 o Yes  o No
33. Do you believe the Republican Party needs to do a better job of exposing the Obama record and his radical liberal agenda?
 o Yes  o No
34. Are you committed to helping ensure that in 2012, the Obama-era of radical liberalism, reckless spending and embarrassing foreign policy comes to an end?
 o Yes  o No
If the national Republican Party supported ONLY candidates who adhere to low taxes, small government, strong values and defending Constitutional (and other) freedoms, their SOLE recipient would be the guy the national Republican Party has been desperately attempting to minimize, ignore and oppose. I tire of Republicans TALKING about low taxes, small government and defending Constitutional freedoms while instead ACTING to the contrary.

What radical liberal agenda is Obama perpetrating? He has continued and expanded the agenda 'compassionate conservative' George Bush gave us.

Section VIII -- Please place and additional comments here:
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
America needs to CUT and GUT. Amendment XVI needs to be repealed and replaced with nothing. The Republicans need to follow the Warren Harding example of 1920 rather than the failed Roosevelt example of the 1930s. Get Government OUT of Americans' lives and leave them (and the rest of the world) alone to live, create and succeed.

This is NOT going to happen with *any* of the Seven Two Dwarfs you establishment Republicans are championing.
