The Non-Issue
of the Week

The lockstep media and the rest of the political establishment have a new
non-issue with which to amuse Boobus: President Obama's self-directed
praise over the killing of Osama bin Laden. Haven't the Republicans
publicly preened themselves ever since their attacks on Afghanistan and
Iraq, which have led to the deaths of untold hundreds of thousands of
innocent men, women, and children? And what of John McCain's
sociopathic
song -- during his 2008 presidential campaign -- with the lyrics
"bomb, bomb, bomb Iran?" And which GOP candidate -- other than
Ron Paul -- has refused to join the defense-industry-sponsored Warmonger
Chorus? If the killing of bin Laden -- the alleged mastermind of 9/11 --
is not to be a prideful act, how can the slaughter of innocents be
praiseworthy?
How much contradictory and hypocritical thinking can be absorbed by
otherwise intelligent minds?
