So there will be a special election in April 2013 to fill a vacant city council seat. Petitioning can start December 6. Since it is a special election our newly won major party status does not grant automatic ballot status. All parties have to petition for special elections. It will take 3000 plus signatures. We are doing candidate recruitment now. An amazingly good short list has already been developed. More later.
