Stand up for our civil right to bear arms, of us the 99%, not just for
the 1%, who live surrounded by armed body guards. We demand our civil
rights be respected exactly the same as the wealthy privileged of our
society.
Now is the time to let our President know that we expect our rights to
be respected and protected, just as much as his own and his family's, by
protesting at the school his daughter's attend. This is why we're
protesting at the Sidwell Friend's School.
We will protest against gun control on the main street in front of
Sidwell Friends School, which Pres. Obama's kids attend with numerous armed
guards, while our kids are only "protected" by signs declaring our schools
to be gun free zones. Why is it the wealthy have armed guards, but it's
illegal for us to protect ourselves and kids with our guns?
Please keep in mind no guns, weapons or ammunition are allowed at the
protest, since this is Washington DC and we'll be in front of a school. We
do expect everyone will be peaceful and non-disruptive to your fellow
protesters, the public, students and media. Don't forget to bring your
signs and cameras.
