Let's start with the lines drawn in the sand by Churchill post WWI ... all those countries from the old Ottoman Empire were created based on economic interests, not local ethnic/religious regions ... just ask the Kurds why after almost 100 years they STILL have no Kurdistan and are randomly in three countries ... from that point just follow history and you will understand why the folk in the middle east hate the west ... it's STILL about what happened after WWI ... kinda how the end of WWI allowed a situation where the Nazis were allowed to come into power!!!
