When Did the Trend Toward American Madness Begin and Accelerate
Posted by Michael S. Rozeff on May 31, 2013 07:49 AM
For the sake of raising this question and arousing interest, I will boldly say that the modern trend toward pervasive and ongoing American madness began with the assassination of JFK followed by the insane entry into the Vietnam War by LBJ. It continued with the Great Society programs of LBJ. The formation of the EPA in 1970 is another landmark. This led in 1972 to the ban on DDT and to the 1973 Endangered Species Act. Roe v. Wade was in 1973. America was going off the rails, and it has been going off the rails ever since.
