Government Schools teach Historical Mythology from the Big Government Religious perspective. After all, would you expect, for instance, the Catholic Church to speak ill of itself?
There is also Environmentalism and its 'Easter', Earth Day.
The Political Correctness Religion also has a thorough foothold.
What 'Christian Principles and tenets' are those?
The Declaration of Independence, for instance, repudiates the Christian Ideal of Divine Rights of Kings.
That certain ideals might sometimes cross does not a basis make.
Government schools should be abolished ... or at minimum the funding and coercion. Let those who WANT them, fund them ... and have children attend voluntarily.

How so? If you mean that students within the public school system(s) are provided with America's historical background, which was founded upon Christian principles and tenets, then yes, I understand. If you mean something differently, then I am interested to hear your thoughts.
