I just watched Attorney General Eric Holder give a speech to someone.....I had FOX News on on the backgrond and didn't catch who AG Holder was speaking to, but the crowd that he was speaking to was very receptive, so I assume it was some entity like the NAACP, the AFL-CIO or another liberal think tankish group.
Holder was all full of vim and vigor, talking about how the U.S.D.O.J. was on the job, looking at and reviewing what could be done in the legal arena to continue the prosecution of Zimmerman. Holder went on to discuss how we as a Nation needed to continue the discussion about racism, and how we as a Nation needed to prevent such tragedies as the Zimmerman/Martin shooting tragedy. I totaly concur with AG Holder with regard to the discussion. What I think would be refreshing, and what the Obama Administration could do now, to be a healing, uniting factor in this Nation; something that the Candidate Obama promised during his campaign in 2008, instead of the dividing race baiting Administration that we have witnessed over the last five years, is to come forward now, and proclaim to the Black community that actions, attitudes and thugish behavior that we have seen from Trayvon; the "Hip-Hop/Rap" Community, and other factions of black entertainment, must encourage it's youth to integrate into the American culture, and that Ebonics, and thugish behavior will get you killed, as we witnessed with Trayvon, 73 youths in Chicago just last weekend, and countless hundreds in major metropolitan areas around our Nation each and every week. I will expound on my thoughts later, but I wanted to take this opportunity to say this after watching Holder's speech.
