SPITZER'S PETITION SCAM
Spends $1 M to file fraudulent signatures
 [image: Spitzer Freak]
Hot Headed Nut Job
At midnight last night Eliot Spitzer pulled off one of the greatest frauds
in the history of American politics. I don't believe he has enough valid
signatures on his petitions to be in the Democratic primary for NYC
comptroller, yet he will be. First let me say, even though the New York
City Campaign Board says 3750 signatures are required, New York State law
contradicts this, setting the requirement at 7500. I believe this matter
will yet get appealed to regulators and/or litigated. I think all City wide
candidates in all parties will require 7500 signatures.

By late Tuesday night Spitzer's band of petitioners had correctly concluded
that they would *not* get sufficient signatures of registered Democrats who
had *not* signed the petitions for Stringer, to sign the valid number
required. When a voter has signed two petitions for the same office the
signature dated first is valid and the one dated second is voided. Finding
eligible voters willing to sign was problematic in the three day time
frame. A decision was made to use their vast financial resources (Bernard
Spitzer's checkbook) to load the Spitzer petitions with 27,000 signatures
of any kind. The Spitzer petititons are padded with crap. Spitzer who has
already been dissembling about the cost of petitions will have spent an
incredible

"buy" 27,000 signatures, according to my sources.
