Yes, NJ with its 585 school districts do not all observe the same holidays ... it is based on the local culture, when I lived in Cranford we had all Jewish holidays, but my current town of Woodbridge does not ... this town is more Christian and Hindi, the Jewish Temple in my town closed because there was not enough people to support it ... it's now a veterinary office!!!
