Derek went over to get a print out of the report and then pass it to Julia
and Nick when he was done.
Julia read it and shook her head, mumbling low "I knew it."
She looked at the sephlicurs and then back at Derek and then at Julia, her
hand instinctually tightening in Nick's "Is it possible to run a spectagraph
and compare it to samples in the database to see if we get a match?"
"I'm on it already," Alex said as she pulled up the database and began to do
a search. It took a few moments but thre were two matches. Alex opened
them both and began to read the reports looking for the similarities. She
felt her stomach turn over when she realized what she was reading. Her
mouth became dry and it was difficult to swallow. She didnt' want to
believe this. Clearing her throat she said, "This strand of DNA matches
both Shamus Bloom and...." she didn't want to say it, so she decided to use
a different word that was easier to handle. ".....the baby." She couldn't
help but wonder if what ever let Julia come back also opened the door for
him. It was a horrible thought and she wouldn't voice it, because she
didnt' want to make Julia feel guilty. It wasn't her fault. But what
it....what if Julia was connected to this thing somehow and by more than
just her murder? It was a possibility that should be investigated. Alex
knew her friend was not evil and would intentionally do anything to harm
them, but if thre was something none of them knew about not even Julia?
