"Philip," she called feeling
slightly panicky and running back through the store in search of the
priest. "Philip, they're gone."
Philip came from the back of the store and caught her
gently by the arms in an effort to calm her down, even as he scanned the part of
the store they were in and the front isles "Where were they?"
He guided her back toward the front of the store, saw a
basket full of groceries that would have been ingredients for what Kat wanted to
make and guided Alex toward the front door "Call Derek on the cell and let him
know what happened. I'm going to go get the car. She couldn't have
gotten too far."
