Nick looked back at Phillip and motioned for him to follow him. He ran up to
the top of the stairs and stopped at the doorway and looked around to see
what was going on. He leaned back in and told Phillip, "he's up there with
Derek but I don't see Kat anywhere for some reason."
Derek watched Kat and when the time came, distracted Mitchell from seeing
her moving, his voice and expression stronger than what he really felt, but
backed up with a determination that more than made up for it.
"You won't get away wit' this, Mitchell! We've defeated you before, we'll
do it again!"
That was when he saw Nick and Philip and continued antagonizing the demon
"Do you truly believe you can win the keys from all of us again? We know
you're tricks!"
====
Nick waited until Mitchell had turned his back away from where Kat was
hiding. He then motioned to the girl and mouthed the words 'sneak over here
like we do at our midnight romps'.
