Philip's lips quirked as he winked at Kat and held out his hand "I'll take
tha' as a yes. Let's go tuck yer moth'r in and pick up Alex and Derek, eh?
Then ye can help me sneak some lollipops from th' nurses station. Ye'd get
loads more than I woul' with a grin or two."
He followed the doctor out and left Julia and Nick to talk while they were
getting the others.
Kat jumped off the bed and hurried over to philip taking his hand. "People
like priests though," she told him thoughtfully. "So maybe not." She
trotted along beside him. She hadn't spoken to Julia, she was going to, but
she couldn't to do it. It seemed like Julia might be mad at her and that
made it hard to even start talking to her. She felt just awful,dispite what
rachel said.
As they reached Rachel's room Kat entered and crawled up on the bed,
"goodnight mommy, we'll come take you home tomorrow." She kissed ehr mother
on the cheek and gave her a hug, the best that she could. Then she
reluctanly hopped down and went back to Philip. "Are you sure she'll be
okay here all alone?"
