Alex grinned and nodded, picking up her own cell phone and calling Philip.
She explained that they were invited for dinner at Kat's. S he had the idea
this was a kat inspired idea ll the way, like the cupcakes. She didn't
really think Rachel should be hosting company so soon, but that was her
business. However, between she and Julia, Alex was certain it would be
okay. Rachel could be a lady of leisure and she thought she could recruit
Derek too, though time alone with Julia was something she liked the idea of,
she wanted to talk about the wedding if possible and to ask a favor.
"As soon as you can," Kat told him, "I'm STaRVING>" This was true, all the
bounciness of the day had taken a lot out of the girl.
Julia chuckled as Derek ended the call, saying he had to get back to another
one and that they would be there as soon as he hung up and they got the
cupcakes from the kitchen.
They were approaching Kat's house and pulled up into the drive.
Since the items she had bought for breakfast weren't perishables she left
those in the backseat and took out the groceries for the dinner and followed
Kat in "Show me the kitchen and we can toss this baby together and chow
down! Nick, Rachel, we're baaaaaaaaack!"
They heard the two call back to them and started unloading the groceries.
Derek turned back to Sloan and put the sound back on "Where were we? Ah,
right, the volunteer from Egypt. Her references?"
