She had kept her tone neutral-for the most part, and raised an eyebrow questioningly
at the one now looking at her.
Julia felt the chill of the woman's tone and figured that it was either the early
morning work making her grumpy or.....
No, something told her it wasn't about the work. And although she had been gone a
while she could still remember the gala and how Anya had hung on Nick's every word.
And Nick had just left the kitchen...
"Something wrong?" she asked, deciding to get to the heart of the matter. Might as
well lay it all out on the table. At least then they would both know exactly what and
how the other was feeling and thinking.
