Alex and Alyssa started a game of checkers in the parlor, which Alyssa was winning and doing so on her own. Alex was pretty impressed with the strategic moves the kid was making. She wondered if anyone had ever taught her to play chess, she thought she might be good at it. The doorbell rang anouncing the arrival of a delivery. Alex left Alyssa in the room and went to get the door making a mental note to use this store again, especially if these shoes fit. She liked promptness and reliability. Alyssa looked around the room while she waited. Getting up she began to wander around looking at things and ended up wandering right of the room and through the house.
