Julia went upstairs to the Control Room as Dominic carried the food and
drinks up to the television room as well as her message about being there
after speaking with the others.
She entered the Control Room in a matter of minutes and greeted them, seeing
their troubled expressions "Okay.. I thought I had some news but seems you
already have it. Who's first to give it to me?"
She looked at Derek who was still prowling, Rachel who looked like it wasn't
her place to say and Alex.
"One sec." she told Alex, knowing her best friend would tell her.
But she went over to Derek and, Julia being Julia and probably the only one
to try to even pull it off, pulled out a chair and got the Precept by the
shoulders and spoke to him "Derek, you're driving me nuts and I just got
here."
Then she sat him down and turned to Alex "Okay, hit me with it. What's got
Derek so shell shocked that he didn't even have a good come back to me
bossing him around."
"I have one." Derek said, giving her a dry look as he stood "But it will
have to be delivered later."
"Oh, good to hear." Julia replied and waited, sitting on the edge of a desk
and crossing her legs Indian style as she waited for one of them to explain
what was going on.
Derek did, at least this time not pacing and Julia looked at Alex "I'm sure
Philip checked into the hospital and police station aspects so he'll know
about the missing persons reports filed. What about clubs they were a part
of? Long shot but maybe the mother's hanging out with some friends or maybe
she's even as wigged as we are trying to find her daughter. Check on
missing reports for anyone fitting Alyssa's description."
Then she delivered her part of the news and watched Rachel's expression as
well as Alex's, this being the first time for either of them to find out
about the Soulchaser, the Hunter or Jimmy's escape.
Alex looked at Derek and then back at Julia. "Well.....we will look into
those." She wasn't sure she wanted to find the kid's mother. Part of her
was really afraid that Derek might actually kill the woman. Then what
would Alyssa do? "Alyssa is...Derek's daughter," she told her friend, since
Derek didn't seem to be speaking. "And appearantly she has the Sight, but
her mother has been making her repress it, so that makes her sick and then
the woman drugged her." Probably to keep her quiet, Alex thought viciously.
When she heard about the Soulchaser she visibly paled. "What? Get him out
of here! He tried to take Nick the last time he was here! And for that
matter get Jimmy out of here too," Alex was now officially beside herself.
