The journey back to the rectory was almost a blur for Jack.  His mind was racing ten to the dozen about what could have happened to the little girl and her mother.  No clues, no leads and no idea...  He wished there was something he could do, but what?  A priest and nothing more...

Feeling heavy hearted and a little fed up, Jack pulled his car onto the drive way and went indoors.  "I'm home." called out the priest, wondering if Jenny, the lady that cleaned up for him a couple of times a week was still there.  By the evident silence and the smell of furniture polish, she had been and gone already.  The priest wandered into the kitchen, feeling like a cup of tea was in order.  Filling the kettle, Jack noticed a scribbled post it note on the fridge.

"Jack - A man named Father Philip called, said it was fairly important, please call back on...."

Raising an eyebrow at the note, Jack pulled it free, set the kettle onto it's base unit and wandered into his office.  Sitting at the desk, Jack stuck the note to the computer monitor, lifted the handset, and dialled the number.....
