The old CInterface tutorial still exists on the website:

The high-level ideas have been carried over into Foreign (e.g.
conversions) but the ML names are different now. The lower-level
details (e.g. anything involving a 'vol') are no longer relevant. I
don't know if that is helpful or confusing. Also, that tutorial doesn't
cover many things, e.g. using dynamic linking (as opposed to dynamic
loading) and callbacks.
