Just a sidenote: The guys at sixxs.net have some experience with ntp over ipv6. They provide delay and offset statistics about their ipv6 servers.

Is there any work being done on IPv6 support for the pool? Before actually
returning AAAA records in DNS, it might nice to allow people to add IPv6
servers and monitor them, for two reasons:

* It would be useful to see what the quality of a typical IPv6 server is.
While native IPv6 is becoming more common, a lot of IPv6 end-user connections
are still tunnelled, and even native connectivity sometimes has "interesting"
   routing.

* Adding IPv6 servers will create a "buffer" of servers, so that when IPv6 is
finally turned on in DNS, the first IPv6 server to be added doesn't get a
flood of queries from every IPv6-enabled pool client.

If the issue here is just one of developer resources, I'd be happy to lend a
hand.
