Hi folks,

I'm currently consulting for a small but international organisation. Part of the work has meant that I have been working on a set of NAS systems produced by QNAP. These boxes use (can use) NTP, and empiricially it seems that they may be configured by default to use pool.ntp.org drrectly. (No-one at the organisation remembers configuring ntp to use the Pool; in fact, no-one at the organisation even knows about the Pool. I'll work on that.)

I'm aware that while it's great that QNAP knows about and uses the Pool, it should be aiming to use something like qnap.pool.ntp.org.

I'm not sure whether contacting QNAP is something that an "official" representative of the Pool should do, or whether you'd like me to try. (The organisation no longer has a support contract with QNAP so I would be no better off than "just a customer representative".)

Chris
