Hi,

recently I setup ntp.jama.is ntp server. It uses a Gude mouseCLOCK USB II to
get the time via DCF 77. Beside the hardware clock I have configure 4
additional stratum 1 servers.

When I do a ntpq -p is shows most of the time something like:
user@host# ntpq -p
     remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter
==============================================================================
xGENERIC(0)      .DCFa.           0 l   20   64  377    0.000  -11.980   7.579

>From time to time the tally code for the device is "*" as I would expect, but
mostly it got a "x". I am wondering why my DCF77 clock is rate as the bad time
source. can anyone shed some light on this or help me to analyze this issue.

Thanks for our help.
