I'm familiar with that modern Linux distribution addition to the normal
POSIX suite of commands and did check for it; it was not available.

This is a constrained router OS, OpenWRT.

(And not the most recent stable version either, since the newer branch
 was declared stable a few weeks back and I haven't switched yet.)
