I think it will depend on what version of ntpd you are running. I think that problem was fixed recently. (Where recent means since the last release rather than within the last few months.) Please try it and tell us what happens. If it doesn't work, please try ntp-dev. If that case doesn't work we should fix it. -- These are my opinions.
