I don't get any response from Silicon Valley.

That looks like a buggy error message.

Unless there is something different on the routing or firewalling from my IP 
address and the monitoring stations IP Address, that should say "no response 
- check your firewall rules" or something like that.

Note the missing number after "Your server is in stratum".
