I fear there will be no difference. If those people had any clue
whatsoever, they would install their own
NTP or TIME server and set the DNS name of that in their routers. Like
ntp.kpn.com or similar.
Then they could operate their client systems and servers the way they
like. And not be dependent
on the uncontrollable operators of the pool.
But they just don't care. Just like their suppliers, who don't care
about requests to register a private
pool DNS name, to behave in a certain way (like re-resolving the DNS
name regularly, or upon receiving
an error on the query, or to use a lower polling frequency for such
unimportant devices).
Abuse and NOC handlers in general are the worst. They even send out
warnings to pool operators
to stop attacking their networks (and all their DSL routers) with UDP
traffic. Totally clueless.

Hi All,
I had feedback from two other nl.pool.ntp.org server admins that they see the
same traffic on port 37 udp.
I have just sent an email to the abuse and noc e-mailaddresses of KPN.
I'll keep you all posted
Met vriendelijke groet, Best regards,

Users of the pool, no.
The server operators, yes, I have an email address for each operator and can
send a note (though I’ve only done that once or twice in almost 15 years).
