Are you too proud to read through my articles or something? You seem to have
glossed over a _crucial_ part of this article.

The sentence that you are quoting is stating that those "overwhelming number
from both parties," are economists. That's why the sentence started with,
"While* economists* remain divided on the role of government..." You might
have had a point, otherwise.
