Yes Yes Outrage, or at least feigned outrage on the part of many senators as they stick their fingers in the air to see which way the political winds are blowing...
Where was the outrage from these very same senators and Administration as they signed the TARP legislation giving AIG taxpayer dollars with no strings attached. If the Obama Administration had wanted (from the get-go) to stop frivolous AIG spending on Bonuses then he could have vetoed his treasury secretary from allowing the latest of 4 AIG Government Bailouts which occurred early March, 2009. "He could have stopped the bonuses by stopping the bailout." Which would have voided the company's contractual compensation obligations. Bankruptcy would have avoided the Bonus Debacle. "In the future, we can avoid having taxpayer dollars go to Wall Street bonuses by not bailing out private companies with taxpayer dollars." - Ed Morrissey Jarrad On Mar 17, 2009, at 12:32 PM, Lance McCulley wrote: > Expressions of outrage across the political spectrum reached a new > crescendo Monday when Sen.
