FYI

About.com e-mail guide Heinz Tschabitscher has an article entitled
"What IMAP can do for you," which provides a nice overview of IMAP and
the ways you might utilize it. For anyone curious about IMAP, you
might wish to read this article:

Although our list is not about IMAP per se, we often find that some of
the free pop3 services offer IMAP services as well and provide you an
alternative when you believe IMAP would serve your interests best.

Since they are free, if your e-mail client supports IMAP, you might
consider just setting up one IMAP account to experience it. As we
often say, "Experience is the best teacher." :-)
