If you use POP mail, you need a POP mail checker.
I must have 10 of them -- CIECheck, epropter, ezpop, letterbox, mailtime, POPPY,
yAvirMail, SimpleCheck and a number with names like Notify.
My favorite is Magic. It's 147 K, allows an unlimited number of accounts and great
control over each account -- time, notification, and so on. Very simple and with good
tools like delete and view.
The one thing I wish it has was understanding of the MS online/offline protocols -- it
can't sense when you are offline, so it tries, get socket errors, tries to start DUN.
Still, it's simple and powerful and very elegant.
