We believe you. I think most of us have experienced great delays in
email at one time or another. :-)
You might consider sending this to the technicians at Lycos.co.uk and
ask them to investigate.
At least in this case it was just a message you sent back to yourself.
Can you imagine if you had posted a response to a post in a mailing
list and it then arrived some 2 weeks later? :-)
