How about deleting accounts, and refusing new accounts? I happen to know
Alan very well Keith. I've known him for a very long time and share the same
sentiments as he does. This is a big reason why people complained about
Intel's idea of putting a special chip in its CPUs that could do the same
thing.

How about providing no SMTP (forcing the use of another SMTP server)? How
about putting the interests of your normal users as the top priority? After
all, free services such as yours exist for the purpose of revenue, and by
invading the privacy of such users, you drive them away and in effect, LOSE
revenue. But I guess you didn't think of that did you? Evidently not.

I trust that by the time you get this that both of my accounts will have
been deleted. I also hope you realize before it is too late that your
service is about to go under due to folks being warned about the spying. If
they join anyway, they will soon learn of it.

And, before I send this off, that knocking Alan does not make you look good.
Your service is already proven horrible.

Tim :-)

In this way our bluff is ridding us quickly of the undesirables who now
don't find it funny to try and use our service to Spam. Your friend Alan is
a bit lacking in the intelligence and couth to gather all his information
before he leaps, but he is entitled to his opinions. His assessment is
completely wrong. And the other truth is that there is no other way to stop
the particular type of spamming we were encountering. If Alan had asked then
we would have explained.
