I had forgotten that I had one of these.
Mine does not pop now, either. I did a dig and the POP server seems to
be the same: mail.visualcities.com . I did a ping of that server and
all seems well. And at the web site itself, there are no changes in
the mail setup instructions. However, a traceroute might give us a
clue in that there seems to be network problems at hop 11. I am
guessing that either an Alter.net or a UU.net cable is out in the East.
That kind of network problem can give our clients the type of false
information that makes them think the mail server is unreachable,
despite the fact that I can ping it successfully.
